The Emulsion Designed Bespoke Bar Table is a one-of-a-kind piece.
Constructed from solid London Plane timber and finished with a hand-brushed brass top, this bespoke table balances refined materiality with functional design. Its clean architectural form and warm tones make it an ideal centrepiece for interior designers, set decorators, and stylists seeking authenticity and texture.
The piece embodies the values of craftsmanship, sustainability, and architectural design heritage.
Emulsion were commissioned by developer Knight Dragon to design the residents’ amenities for high-end apartment Building 4 at Upper Riverside, Greenwich Peninsula - we custom-designed this bar table for the project, as a feature in the entrance lobby space.
The tabletop is made from locally-sourced solid London Plane timber, with brass inlays and circular tubular brass clad legs. The piece was fabricated by a specialist workshop in South London, to our bespoke design.
The theme of the lobby was "play" so there were games and puzzles dotted around the space. The table has a built-in container with wood and brass lid, lined with black felt - inside originally was kept black Lego for residents to play with (Lego not included).
All the other furniture items were design classics in black, in silhouette against our bespoke interior.
The table is a beautiful luxury statement piece, designed and built from high quality materials for durability and longevity. Due to recent refurbishment at the original location, it is now looking for a new home. It would suit a residential, commercial workplace or hospitality space.
Photos show it in its original setting, and as it is now in storage - in good used condition. The timber and brass metal can be maintained and restored.
See photos - to the underside, the veneer strips covering the fixings have come loose but the veneer is not structural, and can be repaired/removed. The timber shows some staining due to use, but again the solid wood can be refinished.
The weight stated is approximate, it comes as a single piece (does not dismantle), needs 3 or 4 people to lift and move it.
