1. General Terms

At Used Creative, we connect buyers and sellers within the creative industries to give pre-loved design a new life. As a circular marketplace, every item is unique in size, weight, and handling needs, so shipping is not integrated into the checkout process at this stage.

After purchase, the buyer is responsible for contacting the seller to coordinate collection or delivery. This ensures flexibility and transparency, and means both parties are aligned before any courier is booked.

We provide a list of recommended couriers and collection options to help buyers choose the right service for their item.


2. Shipping Responsibilities

  • Buyer: Responsible for contacting the seller to agree a collection date, time, and access details before booking a courier; responsible for organising and paying for delivery.
  • Seller: Responsible for responding promptly to the buyer to confirm collection availability; preparing the item for collection; and confirming the address and any access requirements.
  • Used Creative: Provides guidance on recommended couriers but does not handle, book, or guarantee shipping directly.

3. Collection & Delivery Options

Buyers can choose between store pickup (collection) or arranging delivery at checkout.

Store pickup: The buyer contacts the seller after purchase to agree a collection date, time, and location. Please do not arrive without a confirmed slot.

Arrange delivery: The buyer contacts the seller to agree a collection date, time, and any site access details before booking a courier. Once confirmed, the buyer books and pays for delivery using a courier of their choice. We recommend the following trusted partners:

Shipping can usually be arranged to most UK and international locations, but costs and timelines will vary depending on the courier selected. Some couriers may not cover remote or irregular addresses. If delivery is not possible, the buyer must coordinate with the seller to arrange an alternative.


4. Handling & Special Requirements

  • Many items on Used Creative are large, heavy, or delicate. Buyers must ensure that the chosen courier has the correct vehicle, equipment, and insurance for the item.
  • Sellers will confirm the collection address and any access details, such as stairs, narrow doorways, or parking restrictions, directly with the buyer before collection is booked.

5. Costs & Fees

  • Shipping costs are not included in the purchase price unless explicitly stated in the product listing.
  • All courier fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
  • For international shipments, any customs charges and import duties are also the buyer's responsibility.

6. Tracking & Communication

  • Tracking is provided directly by the chosen courier.
  • Buyers should ensure they receive and retain their tracking information from the courier.
  • Used Creative is not party to the courier booking and cannot provide shipping updates once collection has taken place.

7. Delays & Issues

  • Delivery times are estimates only and depend on the courier's service.
  • Used Creative is not responsible for delays caused by the courier, weather, backlogs, customs, or other factors outside the seller's control.
  • Buyers and sellers should communicate directly to resolve any collection or delivery issues.

8. Returns & Undeliverable Items

  • As items are pre-loved and one-of-a-kind, returns are at the discretion of each seller, unless the item is materially misdescribed.
  • Please read the item description, specs, and terms carefully before purchasing, and contact the seller directly with any questions before you buy.
  • If a courier cannot deliver due to access issues or incorrect information provided by the buyer, redelivery costs are the buyer's responsibility.
