Buying & Selling
What is Used Creative?
A circular marketplace where brands, creatives, and production teams can buy and sell pre-loved set builds, displays, and props at a fraction of their original cost—keeping creative waste out of landfill.
Who can use the platform?
Anyone in the creative, retail, event, theatre, or production industries—buyers looking for unique or affordable assets, and sellers looking to offload high-quality creative materials sustainably.
How do I list an item?
Sign up and complete your profile, choose your membership - Pioneers get more benefits. Upload photos (hero, close-ups, scale) add details about the item like materials, dimensions, and usage history. Price competitively (50–70% below production cost recommended) and make sure to share it in your marketing efforts. Do tag us on any social media too.
What categories can I list under?
Furniture, lighting, mannequins, props, signage, staging, plinths, display walls, materials (wood, Perspex, textiles), and more. If we don't have the category that's appropriate, pop us a note and we'll get it added for you.
Pricing, Fees & Commissions
Is there a listing fee?
There are no upfront listing fees for the first 100 pioneer members. Fees may apply for logistics or premium listing features later.
What commission does Used Creative take?
Used Creative charges 15%, 20% or 40% commission (depending on your chosen membership package) on successful sales, deducted at the point of sale via Stripe.
How are payments processed?
All payments are securely processed through Stripe. Funds (minus commission) are deposited directly into the seller’s connected bank account.
Shipping & Logistics
Who handles delivery and shipping?
Seller scan offer collection or manage delivery themselves. Used Creative Logistics (via partners) can provide collection, delivery, or warehousing if preferred. Shipping costs are typically arranged outside the platform, based on buyer-seller agreement
Do you ship internationally?
Currently, Used Creative focuses on the UK market, but cross-border sales can be arranged case-by-case. Reach out to our support team if you’re buying or selling outside the UK.
Returns & Disputes
What’s the returns policy?
As a circular marketplace, all sales are final, unless the item arrives damaged or significantly different from the listing. Disputes must be raised within 48 hours of receipt.
Item doesn't work with your vision or space? No problem - relist with no commission.
What if there’s a problem with the item?
Contact support with photos and order info within 48 hours. Used Creative will work with both parties to find a fair resolution.
Additional Services
What is Warehouse R&R?
A service where Used Creative photographs, and lists your creative waste or leftover assets on your behalf. Ideal if you're short on time.
What are Hot Drops?
Curated, themed bulk releases (e.g., vintage lighting, branded props, seasonal styling kits) offered for a limited time or quantity.
Sustainability & Impact
How does this support ESG goals?
By giving assets a second life, Used Creative helps reduce landfill waste, resource extraction, and emissions. A sustainability dashboard(launching summer 2025) will providemeasurable impact data.
